I came to know the Lord in 1985 after a series of family tragedies. However, I was baptized on Thanksgiving November 28, 2002. I was born in Jersey City, NJ and raise from one month old in East Keansburg, NJ. I was one of 8 children, 4 boys and 4 girls, in that order. During my youth, life during the 60s and 70s in Monmouth County was full of long hair, rock & roll, drugs and alcohol. As a catholic, we learned the traditional life of the Catholic Church, as well as how the Catholics believed in Jesus. Although I called upon Jesus during desperate times, my faith within him was not strong. In the 80s I lost a brother to drugs, two years later my Mother passed away, two years after that my Father passed away, and 4 months following my father's death, my wife of 4 years left me. I was alone, angry and bitter. I remember being on the beach in Asbury Park, NJ after a WNEW radio show and wanting to walk into the water and not return. I prayed and something inside me gave me great strength to stand up, leave the beach and change my life. I knew it was God, but I eventually fell back to an unsaved way of life. Subsequently, I was living in Atlantic County, building casinos in Atlantic City and my wife (married in 1990), a Jewish woman, came to know Jesus through friends that I worked with in the casino business. However, we moved back to central Jersey Middlesex County, and eventually lost touch. In July of 2000, I discovered that I had a brain tumor. After surgery my wife and I realized that God kept giving me second chances, but I was unwilling to receive Him. In September of 2000, my wife and I walked into a church (Princeton Alliance Church). Both my wife and I came to know Jesus during our attendance at PAC. My wife, son and I were all baptized in our indoor swimming pool at our home in Plainsboro, NJ on November 28, 2002. Since then we continue to walk with the Lord. We moved to Holmdel, NJ in 2004, and have attended Church at the Calvary Chapel church in Old Bridge ever since. We love the Church and Pastor Lloyd. We also have another home in the Catskills in NY, and enjoy a real country, Jesus loving, Bible preaching Church and Pastor.
