My name is Michael Iurilli, and I am 24 years old when writing this.
I came to know Christ at an early age, but for many years didn't live a life that was pleasing to God. I did enough wrong things to be convicted of juvenile crimes, and was sent to a juvenile prison. while there, I re-dedicated my life to Jesus, and am now trying to live in a manner that is pleasing to Christ in all I say and do.
One way of doing this is to always use the circumstances to spread the Gospel directly, like witnessing in the park, and indirectly by the way I live every day. One way to do this is by wearing my Lost and Found colors everywhere I go. I believe in the saying by Saint Francis of Assisi, "Preach the Gospel everywhere you go, and if necessary, use words." In other words, if you talk the talk, you need to walk the walk. Not swearing, or laughing at or encouraging dirty jokes/conversations at work is another way of doing this. Working as if my boss is standing next to me watching everything I do is another way of being a good witness. I want to live in such a way that others are drawn to me and ask what's different about me, having only seen my actions, and I want my words to confirm what they see, and always to be ready to tell them why I act differently.
Even though I don't know who will be saved or who will reject the Gospel, I don't have to worry about it. God's in control of everything, and He knows the hearts of all men. Could He reach down and force people to believe in Him? Could He tell everyone about Himself? I believe the answer to both of these questions is yes. However, he chooses to work through His people to reach out to others and draw them to Himself using their testimonies as proof of the difference between the life you used to live, and the life you live now.
